Get help

Email work@justice.engineering. In the app, Help → Support prepares a message with the app version, macOS version, processor and document format already filled in. You can read and edit everything before sending, or copy or save the details if you would rather not use email.

Helpful to include: what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and, if you are willing, a copy of the .plansheet document or the imported file. Documents are never collected automatically.

Common questions

What can I import?

PDF pages (you choose the page from a multi-page file), images, and STL, OBJ or USDZ models, which the app converts into a hidden-line drawing you can dimension. Scans and photographs stay as images; imported geometry is a placed reference, not editable solid geometry.

How does calibration work?

Pick two points on the drawing whose real distance you know, then enter that distance and its unit. Attached length measurements use that calibration. A photograph with perspective distortion may not have one reliable scale across the whole image; use an orthographic drawing or scan when dimensions matter. You can also enter the two points as coordinates from Sheet → Calibrate by Coordinates.

Why doesn't my printed sheet measure correctly?

Print at 100% with scaling off, on the paper size the sheet was designed for. Check a scale bar or a known dimension with a ruler on the first print. Screen measurements do not establish print accuracy; the printer and driver settings do.

Where is my editable work?

In the .plansheet document, which stores the sheet, its calibration and the imported assets together. Exported PDF and PNG files are output for sharing; they are not re-importable as editable sheets.

Which Macs are supported?

Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported.

Can I use it with a keyboard or VoiceOver?

Menu commands, keyboard focus for the sheet and object list, arrow nudging, and coordinate entry for calibration and dimensions are built in. We are verifying the full keyboard and VoiceOver workflow before release and will describe exactly what is supported. If something blocks you, tell us.

Something went wrong and the app closed.

On the next launch, Drafting Table can show the available exception details in Help → Support so you can review them and decide whether to send them. Reopen the document and check the most recent saved or autosaved state. Changes made after the last successful save may be missing. Keep a copy of the original before troubleshooting; include the app version and steps that led to the problem when contacting support.
